
Academic advising efforts within the Department of Health and Human Performance help support the vision of the department to provide a student-centered learning environment. Access to and support from the department's professional and faculty advisors help students to stay on track towards their educational and academic goals.
Upon admission to the University new transfer students start with an online orientation at www.mtsu.edu/transferonline. At the end of the orientation an advising appointment is scheduled.
New freshmen attend a CUSTOMS orientation program. CUSTOMS is offered every summer for the Fall semester and every December for the Spring semester. It provides students and their families an opportunity to come to campus to experience the MTSU academic and student services programs.
