Graduate Assistantships

Doctor of Philosophy student assistantship stipends amount to approximately $14,000 per year and master's stipends are approximately $6,500. Appointees have their tuition paid by the Graduate School.

APPLICATION

Applications for Fall must be complete by March 1 and applications for Spring must be complete by October 1. Late applicants who meet the graduate assistantship criteria may be considered on a case-by-case basis. In order to assure top priority for an assistantship, application should be for the Fall term. Applicants are encouraged to have all graduate teaching assistantship application materials to the MTSU Department of Health and Human Performance, Box 96, Murfreesboro, TN 37132 well in advance of the fall or spring deadline to provide time to process your application for a graduate assistantship.
