Shandora by microscopeQ. I'm sick and the Student Health Services is closed, What should I do?
During the fall and spring semesters, our hours are Monday - Thursday, 8:00am - 4:30pm and Fridays 8:00am - 4:00pm. During summer and semester breaks our hours are 8:00am - 4:00pm Monday - Friday and closed during university holidays.

An after hours telephone advice nurse is available by calling 615-898-2988 and following the prompts. Experienced advice nurses can help you figure out the best course of action: do you need immediate medical care, an appointment the next day, or will self-care help you? You may be asked for your Student ID number (your M number) in order to use this service.

Important Note: This new after-hours service is for those who are sick. If you have a routine or minor health concern or question, you should continue to call us during the day or leave a message to be answered tomorrow.

If you have a medical emergency, dial 911. Be prepared to give your name, your exact location and the nature of the injury or illness.

Q. The Student Health Services has blocked me from registering for classes. What should I do?
If you have a registration hold from Student Health Services, it is due to one of the following reasons:

  1. You have an unpaid balance from Student Health Services. This hold may be released by paying the balance in full at the Business Office or online through RaiderNet.

  2. You are an entering student, born after 1956, attending full-time and you have not furnished documented proof of having immunity to measles, mumps, and rubella or having been immunized with two doses of MMR vaccine on or after the first birthday unless contraindicated because of pregnancy, allergy to a vaccine component, or other valid medical reason(s). This hold may be released by completing the immunization requirements outlined on the MMR Immunization page.

Q. Can my prescription for "the pill" be filled at the MTSU Campus Pharmacy?
Yes, you can get your prescriptions filled at the pharmacy. To have your prescription written at Health Services you must bring your most recent Pap Test results to the clinic, to become part of your medical record.

Q. Who is eligible for services at the Student Health Services?
All currently registered MTSU students are eligible to receive care at Health Services. During the summer term, students who are not taking summer classes but were enrolled during the previous spring term and registered for the upcoming fall term, may use Health Services by paying a Summer Health Fee of $20 per visit plus any lab or medication fees incurred at the time of the visit.

For allergy patients who are not enrolled during the summer term, but were enrolled during the previous spring term and registered for the upcoming fall term there is a one time $20 Summer Health Fee plus the standard allergy shot fee each visit.
