National and international fellowships are often highly competitive and limited in number. The UFO provides professional guidance and assistance that will help you to prepare a competitive application. It is important to contact our office early, so that the best possible application can be prepared in a timely fashion. Some fellowships, such as the Fulbright and Marshall, require the UFO (not the individual applicant) to forward the application to the appropriate organization. In addition, our office can set up mock interviews on campus; interviews that often prepare students for the real meetings that follow. Timeliness is important and the UFO usually imposes an internal deadline that is earlier than the one required by the fellowship organization in order to allow for possible revisions or updates to the application.

Periodically, the Undergraduate Fellowships Office announces and sponsors information sessions for interested students; however, the staff welcomes questions from individuals at any time and stands ready to assist.
