Cindy Ayers - Nutrition and Food Sciences
In April 2017 she completed training to become a (PCQI) Preventative Controls Qualified Individual. This provides the credentials to meet Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements for development and implemenation of HACCP based systems as part of the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) regulations.
Tracy Noerper - Nutrition and Food Sciences
Tracy was awarded first place in the Student Competition by the Nutrition Education for Children and Higher Education Division at the Society of Nutrition Education and Behavior annual meeting in Washington, D.C. in July 2017. The title of the research poster was, "Effect of Nutrition Interventions on BMI in Youth Attending After-School Programs: A Meta-Analysis."
In October 2017 she was presented the prestigious E. Neige Todhunter Memorial Doctoral Fellowship by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation at the Food and Nutrition Conference and Expo held in Chicago.

Dr. Poirier has been elected to serve as the Vice President of North America for International Vocational Education and Technology Association (IVETA). The mission of the global organization is to equip individuals with vocational skills, and also with a broad range of knowledge, skills, attitudes that are now recognized as indispensable for meaningful participation in work and life.
