Dr. Sheehan-Smith was the past recipient of the Outstanding Dietetics Educator Award from TN Dietetic Association. Her research interests include hospital food service management, nutrition requirements for adult competitive figure skaters, family-centered model for affecting behavioral changes in nutrition & exercise, and the glass escalator in dietetics.
