The MTSU Scholars Academy program was created to serve the needs of minority students by providing them with a quality education in a supportive learning environment. Students are accepted to the Scholars Academy based on a combination of several factors including high school GPA, ACT/SAT test scores, a complete application, references, a personal interview, and an evaluation of other data such as involvement and community service. If you are interested in being a part of the Scholars Academy program, please complete the Scholars Academy Application . The Scholars Academy Summer Institute is a five-week residential program designed to provide students with an opportunity for career exploration by working with various MTSU colleges and departments in the surrounding community. Students participating in the program are housed on the MTSU campus for duration of the Summer Institute, attend two freshman-level courses (at no cost), and take part in team-building exercises, leadership training, the summer reading program, and service learning projects.
