Ron Fryar
President
Tennessee Press Association Foundation

William R. "Ron" Fryar's love of print media began at his father's knee delivering newspapers in his hometown of Chattanooga. His decades in the industry have landed him as the current owner and President of Fryar Newspapers, LLC and as the owner/publisher of the Cannon Courier and publisher/president of the Murfreesboro Post.

Fryar's career in print media began in 1976 as an advertising representative at The Daily News Journal in Murfreesboro. He quickly moved up the chain of command at Morris Multimedia to eventually act as publisher of McMinnville's Southern Standard and Warren County News, the Smithville Review and the Franklin Review Appeal and Brentwood Journal. He also served as regional vice president at Morris Multi-Media Inc. and worked as president of Mid-South Publishing Company, publishers of The Daily News Journal and Rutherford Courier, in addition to later helping found and serve as vice-president of operations for American Hometown Publishing.
