In the spring of 2007, IT faculty at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville conducted a feasibility study to determine Tennessee educators' interest in matriculating in an online Master's degree program in Instructional Technology. This session will present the findings from the study, current plans for implementing the program, and details of the instructional design of the proposed online program.

Description:
For the past several years, the Instructional Technology faculty at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville have been working toward the implementation of an online Masters's degree program in Instructional Technology. During this planning and design phase, the faculty reviewed similar online programs at Virginia Tech and The University of Illinois as well as the current literature describing such efforts at a variety of schools around the world. The University of Tennessee is now supporting such new program development efforts and the Instructional Technology faculty are actively working to secure approval to initiate such a program.
