Abstract: The term “Web 2.0”
is certainly a popular buzzword. Other than hype, what do Web
2.0 tools really have to offer? Is it possible for instructors
to effectively use these tools to engage learners? The
presenters will share specific tools and strategies they’ve
found successful to help you begin implementing Web 2.0
technologies in your
courses.
Description: This session
will specifically focus on expanding the walls of your
classroom to allow students the opportunity to collaborate with
and learn from experts and fellow learners around the world.
Free collaborative tools such as Skype, Twitter, ooVoo,
Ustream, and wikis help make this possible. Benefits of using
these tools include:
•Encouraging student participation
•Engaging students
•Tools are always available in any location

into a Graduate course sparked the emergence of an active and
