Mapping a Network Drive
Mapping a network drive will let you use a drive located on the network as if it was a drive installed on your PC.- On your desktop, right click on Network Neighborhood.
- Select Map Network Drive....
- Select Drive.
- Beside the Path box, type: \\name_of_computer\DriveLetter (for example \\Pc-6\E).
- Click on your My Computer icon on the desktop. You will see the mapped drive as a separate drive icon.
