Mapping a Network Drive

Mapping a network drive will let you use a drive located on the network as if it was a drive installed on your PC.
  1. On your desktop, right click on Network Neighborhood.
  2. Select Map Network Drive...
  3. Select Drive.
  4. Beside the Path box, type: \\name_of_computer\DriveLetter (for example \\Pc-6\E).
  5. Click on your My Computer icon on the desktop. You will see the mapped drive as a separate drive icon.
