Greg Schaffer - Assistant Vice President

Greg Schaffer joined MTSU in August, 1998.  As the Assistant Vice President for Network and Information Technology Security, he serves on the Information Technology Division leadership team in researching, planning, and implementing information technology goals and objectives that appropriately align with the strategic direction of the University. He provides direction and leadership with departments across all divisions within the University for network and security projects and needs and is responsible for the overall strategic direction for networking and information technology security. 

Greg holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University at Buffalo (1993) and is currently pursuing a Masters in Computer Information Systems (expected 2010).  He is a current Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
