Server, Classroom & Desktop Services, which includes Master Classroom Support, manages MTSU's primary administrative and academic computer systems and equipment, ensuring around-the-clock operation of all systems.
Other responsibilities include:
- Administration and maintenance of central computing hardware and software, including the software available on the academic system
- E-mail communications
- Account generation
- System backups
- Production job requests
- Test and survey scanning (Cope Administration Building basement)
Microcomputing and Master Classroom Support provides service and support for a wide range of software and hardware, including the technology tools found in MTSU's Master Classrooms.
Headed by ITD's Associate Vice President, this area is staffed by a director of computer operations, computer operators, a data entry clerk, systems programmers, an e-mail specialist, microcomputer specialists, and technical support specialists.
