Overview

The Adult Degree Completion Program is designed for the working adult who needs to finish a degree to get ahead in his or her career.

Accomplishing anything worthwhile involves time, energy, and effort but the results are worth it. 2008 Current Population Survey statistics (based on 2007 data collected by the United States Census Bureau) show that the average bachelors degree holder earned $47,240, while the average high school graduate with no college earned just over $28,000., while the Associates degree holder earned a little over $36,300. Education pays!

Besides the extra income potential, many of our students choose to complete their degree simply for the satisfaction of accomplishing a major goal in life. The feeling of taking on a major task and successfully seeing it through to completion is a valuable source of self-esteem.

The Adult Degree Completion Program is designed to be customized for you to fit your particular needs, interests and schedule.

If you have always wanted to finish a college degree, the MTSU Adult Degree Completion Program can help you achieve your goal. As a student in the Adult Degree Completion Program you can finish your bachelors degree online or in a traditional classroom, whichever fits your schedule. Transfer credit from accredited community colleges and other post secondary schools can be used toward your four-year degree. Additionally, you may be able to receive academic credit for military experience or other certifications you have earned. Academic credit may be awarded for continuing education courses and other training, from CLEP, or challenge exams. To find out what credit you may have already achieved, contact Lance Ikard, Director of Prior Learning Assessment.

The College of Continuing Education and Distance Learning offers several Bachelor of Science and the Bachelors of University Studies degrees.
