Does your Distance Learning class have a proctored exam coming up? Make plans to attend the regularly scheduled exam (if one is scheduled). If the scheduled date and time do not work with your class or work schedule, you may (with permission of your instructor) re-schedule with our Distance Learning Testing Center . Proof of extenuating circumstances may be required.

| Requirements for using the Testing Center |
Living far away from MTSU. For students who live at least 50 miles away from campus, we can have your exams sent to an approved proctor. Arrangements must be made at least TWO WEEKS prior to the date you wish to take your exam. To schedule an off campus exam please visit here.
RODP exams. RODP classes which have proctored exams do not have regularly scheduled exams. Please schedule your exam with our Testing Center.
Special Accommodations. If you need special accommodations, please contact Disabled Student Services at 615-898-2783. Once you have followed their instructions, please contact the Testing Center at 615-898-2743 to have your exam(s) sent to Disabled Student Services.

MTSU offers the same services to distance learners as to our "on-ground" students. Check out the services on the right or email us with any questions. We will update this page with upcoming dates and information at least once a month. Additional information regarding support for distance learning students may be found here.
Distance Learning Student Services (and your instructors) will send important information regarding your course to your MTSU email account. Please check this account regularly, or for instructions on how to forward your MTSU email to a personal email account (example: AOL, Yahoo, etc) go to Instructions on how to forward email.
As a distance learner you have access to FREE online tutoring! Tutoring is available in the following subjects through www.smarthinking.com.

| Online Writing Assistance |
MTSU's University Writing Center offers free online assistance for any writing assignment in any class. If you’d like help in person, the center has two locations--one in Peck Hall 325 and the other in Ezell Hall 119. Both locations are open Monday-Friday (8:00am - 7:00pm) and Saturday (10:00am- 1:00pm). You do not have to pay for this service.

Need some assistance with proofing a paper?
- MTSU's University Writing Center offers free writing assistance for any writing assignment in any class.
- Email services are available 24/7. (You may email your paper to a writing tutor and he or she will respond soon.)
- Online chat sessions with a tutor are available during selected hours of the week. For information on how to chat and the hours please visit the Writing Center help area.
- If you'd like to come in person the Center is located in Peck Hall and is open Monday through Saturday. (Please check the hours and directions.)
You do not have to pay for this service.
