Alternative Teaching Licensure
To be eligible for the RODP Alternative I or II Teacher Licensure online program, one must have a bachelor's degree and 1) either have a statement of intent to hire as a teacher or 2) already be employed as a teacher by a school system in Tennessee and placed on an alternative I or II license. Students interested in this program should immediately contact the advisor for this program to establish an individualized plan of study. Students in the RODP Alternative I or II program must be admitted to the teacher education program prior to the completion of the Alternative I or II program. (Not all courses are guaranteed to be offered online; your advisor will be able to let you know if you can complete your individualized program solely online.).
