Time Management

Excellent time management skills are a good indication that students will perform well in an online course. It is easy to fall behind or wait until the last minute to complete assignments. As with traditional college classes, online courses require the same amount of time (minimum of six to eight hours per week) for study time and completing assignments. Online courses have the same rigor and depth of information as traditional courses. Procrastination can result in poor performance in any type of learning environment! Contact your instructor or advisor if you start to experience problems academically and socially in terms of completing your assignments.

Computer Hardware/Software/Browser Requirements

Information on advanced hardware requirements or additional required software may be found in each course syllabus.

Technical Support

If you have any technical difficulties accessing your RODP course, please verify that you are registered for the course in PIPELINE. If you are registered, please call the AskRODP Help Desk at: toll free number 1-866-550-7637 or visit the AskRODP Help Desk.

Course Equivalencies

The RODP to MTSU Course Equivalency chart will allow you to view how RODP courses equate to traditional MTSU courses. Some RODP courses are numbered differently than MTSU courses. This chart may assist you in determining if your RODP class is equivalent to an MTSU on-campus course.

If you are not an RODP major, RODP courses may not apply to your degree requirements. Be sure to talk with your advisor.

RODP Fees

Visit www.mtsu.edu/~bursarmt/rodprates.html for RODP fees.

If you mix RODP courses with any other MTSU courses, you will be charged additional student fees including:

  • Debt Services Fee
  • General Access Fee
  • Recreation Fee
  • Postal Services Fee
  • SGA Fee

Regents Online Degree Program (RODP) courses are charged per hour and viewed separately from MTSU courses so as not to mix with the full-time cap applicable to MTSU courses in the fall and spring terms. RODP fees are computed in addition to any MTSU course fees and do not apply to the full-time maximum for MTSU registration fees.

NOTE: RODP courses do not even exchange with other courses when students drop/add on or after the first day of the semester.
