Definition
As directed by the RODP Curriculum Committee, each course developed for the RODP undergoes a stringent review process including a self-evaluation by the course designer, a technical review and a peer review.
Special Notes
Course designers must notify the Distance Learning Faculty Services Office (cladams@mtsu.edu ) after receiving final course approval in order to receive development compensation.
Review Process
Upon completion of the course, the course designer completes the Course Developer's Request for Review Form/Self-evaluation. Subsequently, the course is evaluated for technical merit www.rodp.org/faculty/course_assessment.asp and also undergoes a peer review www.rodp.org/faculty/content_assessment.asp.
Final Course Approval and Payment of Development Fees
When a course designer is notified by the RODP, following the review process, that his/her course has received final approval for delivery, the Distance Learning Faculty Services Office should be contacted cladams@mtsu.edu or 904-8276) in order to receive development compensation. The Faculty Services Office does not receive notification from the RODP when courses have received final approval.
