Middle Tennessee State University piloted a new online cohort program for psychology which began Fall 2009. A cohort is a model in which an entering group of learners stay together for the entire program. The program is designed to enable full time students, who meet the requirements, to finish their bachelor degree program in 2 years.
To be eligible for the cohort program students must have:
- 60 hours of existing college credit;
- credit for the General Psychology course; and
- an GPA of 2.5 or higher.
Admission for the Fall 2009 cohort is currently closed, but interested students may apply for the next cohort which will start in Fall 2010. To apply, please complete the following request form prior to May 15, 2010. Applicants will be notified if they have been accepted by June 1, 2010.
Students interested in starting courses in the Spring 2010 may begin by taking general education or courses for their minor.
Due to space limitations, not all applicants who meet the requirements will be admitted to the cohort. Students who are not accepted into the cohort program can still earn their psychology major online but will not have reserved space in the classes.
Cohort Request Form In order to participate in the Online Psychology Cohort, you must complete this form to request a position. All fields must be completed. You will be notified by the Psychology Department if you have been accepted into the cohort.
