Periodicals

Journal of College Excellence is a peer-reviewed venue published at Miami University by and for faculty at universities and two- and four-year colleges to increase student learning through effective teaching, interest in and enthusiasm for the profession of teaching, and communication among faculty about their classroom experiences. It answers Ernest Boyer's (1990) call for a forum to present the scholarship of teaching and learning. The Journal provides a scholarly, written forum for discussion by faculty about all areas affecting teaching and learning, and gives faculty the opportunity to share proven, innovative pedagogies and thoughtful, inspirational insights about teaching.
DeLiberations: Lists journals concerned with teaching specific disciplines in higher education and general educational development journals.

The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching is a premier think tank that focuses on the processes and causes of higher education. As an independent policy and research center, Carnegie provides programs and funding for the scholarship of teaching and learning.

POD Network Conference Dedicated to professional and organizational development in higher education, POD holds an annual conference attended by academic professionals all over the world. The center uses its membership to sponsor the travel of its fellows or other associates each year.
Teaching Professor Conference Another prestigious teach/learn conference. The center sends 1-3 faculty members each year.
SFRIDC - Southern Regional Faculty Instructional Development Conference Huge, highly respected organization dealing with teach/learn issues. The center uses its membership to send faculty to represent us every year.
