Biography
Dr.Kimberly Ujcich Ward teaches general
psychology, adolescence, behavior analysis, and clinical
psychology at the undergraduate level and assessment and
behavioral interventions with children and families in the
clinical psychology master's program.
Dr. Ujcich Ward focuses on
incorporating applied, hands-on opportunities as requirements
across her courses and she frequently supervises students in
field-based experiences such as conducting behavioral assessments
and interventions with children with special needs. Her students
conduct applied research projects in the areas of child physical
abuse prevention, efficacy of behavioral assessment and
interventions, and parent-child interactive behaviors. Dr. Ujcich
Ward has directed 34 master's theses and has co-authored
presentations with MTSU students at national and international
conferences for the Association for Cognitive Behavior Therapy,
Society of Pediatric Psychology, Society for Research on Child
Development, and the Association for Behavior Analysis
International.
Dr. Ujcich Ward is an active volunteer for several agencies that
provide services for children and families, including her
volunteer work at the Exchange Club Family Center for the
Prevention of Child Abuse. She involves MTSU students in her
volunteer work as well, helping them to become active in the
community as mentors, parent educators, child service providers,
and research supporters.
Dr. Kim Ujcich Ward, associate professor
of psychology, earned her B.A. in psychology from the
University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and her M.A. and Ph.D. in
Clinical Psychology from West Virginia University. She is a
Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
