- "Selling America Through the Super Bowl" article with Hugh O'Donnell now in submission in Europe.- Exchange agreement with Communication University of China in progress-both graduate and undergraduate level.
- Honor Lecture on "Politics, Non-Traditional Media and Young Voters" on November 10. I will be a Visiting Scholar again in China next spring.
- I am Chair of an Honors College Committee to plan and establish an Honors Living and Learning Center at a partner university in the United Kingdom.
- Published "America at Play-America at War: The Super Bowl as Discursive Formation" (with Hugh O'Donnell)
- Presented "Teaching in China: Opportunities, expectations and realities" at the 2009 Tennessee Consortium on International Studies
- Serves on MTSU Global Competency Committee, College of Mass Comm. Internationalization Committee and the EMC Smarti Awards Committee
