A native of Hopkinsville, KY, Andrew Oppmann is the president and publisher of the Daily News Journal. He also serves as vice president for audience management for The Tennessean. Oppmann creates and manages digital and print products for The Tennessean and Gannett's daily newspapers in Clarksville, Jackson and Murfreesboro. He was previously editor and general manager of the Appleton Post-Crescent in Wisconsin. Under Oppmann's leadership, the newspaper received consecutive titles in 2004, 2005 and 2006 as daily newspaper of the year from the Wisconsin Newspaper Association.
