MTSU Military Center

In keeping with Tennessee’s history as the “Volunteer State” and MTSU’s heritage of honoring and assisting those who have selflessly served our country, Middle Tennessee State University has established a Veterans Student Center.  This Center will proactively and creatively address the challenges facing veteran students as they transition from military duty to college life and on to continued military service or post-military careers.

The purpose of the Veterans Student Center is to create and institute a variety of innovative programs to effectively promote access to and success in higher education at MTSU, and to assist veteran students with much needed career counseling and placement.

The Center will provide a Veteran’s Coordinator to assist potential students in understanding their educational opportunities and veteran benefits.  The Veterans Coordinator will be available to talk with each incoming veteran, answer their questions, and assist potential students in understanding the processes, services, and opportunities at MTSU, thus providing the personal interaction and the directive environment with which veterans are familiar.

Additionally, the Center will facilitate streamlined orientation and assimilation into the MTSU community, coordinate veteran-friendly courses and faculty advising, provide peer support and mentoring, insure career counseling and job placement services, and arrange for the special physical and emotional needs of veteran students.

If you would like to receive periodic updates from the MTSU Veterans Center please complete this form.
