MTSU Named Military Friendly School!
MTSU was recently named a 'Military Friendly School' for the third year by G.I. Jobs. This honor is given to only the top 15 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools who actively promote resources and services to veterans looking to return to school. MTSU has been working with many campus partners to ensure that our veterans' transition to MTSU is successful by providing veteran focused programs, support and guidance.

Vet Counseling Services

To schedule an appointment or talk with the Vet Center counselor, contact Chris Bonner at 615-366-1220.

Vet Centers are part of the Readjustment Counseling Service of the VA, and are designed to serve combat servicemen and women. Services are provided free to eligible individuals and include individual, group, and couples/family counseling. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury, and family readjustment issues are just a few of the issues addressed. Counseling is highly confidential and tailored to meet the individual's needs.

In order to be eligible, individuals must have served in a branch of the Armed Forces in a combat zone and be a current MTSU student. A copy of your DD 214 and verification of MTSU enrollment will be required.
