Personal Well-Being Services

It is important to remember as you are working to complete your mission of getting a college education that you take care to address your personal well-being both physically and emotionally. In order to make this more feasible for MTSU students to achieve, the MTSU Charlie and Hazel Daniels Veteran and Military Family Center has partnered with the Veteran’s Administration (VA) to provide wellness counseling services on campus.

StruzickMs. Betty Struzick is a licensed clinical social worker through the VA. She can provide a variety of counseling services to student veterans enrolled at MTSU including, but not limited to:

  • Individual counseling
  • Family counseling
  • Marriage counseling
  • Mental health counseling
  • Grief counseling

She can also assist with access to medical providers at the Tennessee Valley Healthcare System in Murfreesboro.  The Alvin C. York VA campus is just minutes from the MTSU campus.

Ms. Struzick can serve as an advocate for you, if you need it, in order to access the benefits you have earned through your service. She is easy to talk to, a good listener and is eager to aid in any way she can to see that you are successful in your educational mission here at MTSU.
