Geosciences Admission Requirements
Admission to the Masters of Science in Professional Science (MSPS) Program in Geosciences is a two-step process.
First, a prospective student will apply to the MTSU College of Graduate Studies and select the "Professional Science" M.S. degree program, Geosciences concentration. Admission procedures are at www.mtsu.edu/graduate/student/admit.php. Additional procedures for international students are detailed at www.mtsu.edu/graduate/international.php. Once the College of Graduate Studies receives all application materials, prospective students are notified regarding acceptance as a graduate student at MTSU.
The second step of the process begins when a student is accepted by the College of Graduate Studies, who routes the application to the MSPS program. The complete file is reviewed by MSPS admission coordinators for a final admission decision. To be fully admitted into the program, all of the above items must be received in ample time to be reviewed by the College of Graduate Studies and the MSPS Program. A student must be admitted unconditionally in order to be considered for an assistantship or scholarship.
