| Module 1: College Advising
Welcome As a division of the Academic Support Services unit in Student Affairs, the Academic Support Center is dedicated to creating academically engaging communities and fostering a campus-wide commitment to learning. The primary focus of the Academic Support Center is to provide academic advising services for MTSU students with undeclared majors and students with courses in the Academic Enrichment Department. Career Counseling is offered to all MTSU students regardless of major. The mission of the Academic Support Center (ASC) is to provide effective academic advising to all undeclared students and students in the Academic Enrichment Department and to foster a campus-wide commitment to learning through initiatives such as living/learning communities, a community reading program, and the Raider Book Club. Our mission also includes provision of efficacious career counseling for all students to ensure their smooth transition into the working world. The ASC is committed to the growth and development of individual students and to the belief that, given appropriate assistance, students can take control of their own academic progress and achieve their educational goals.
