| Module 1: College Advising
Case Study #1 A student registers for fall classes at 9:30 a.m. on August 18, 2005. Student is advised that he/she must pay their class fees or confirm their schedule by 4:30 p.m. the same day or their schedule will be purged. Student will be commuting from Nashville to MTSU and scheduled classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays only. Student believes he/she has the “perfect” schedule. The next morning, the student’s irate and very rude mother calls stating that her child’s schedule was purged and demanded that student registers for the exact classes and times immediately. You are the advisor receiving the call. How would you handle this situation? What are some points to consider?
