Policies and Guidelines for Faculty Advising All students majoring in the Jennings A. Jones College are assigned to a faculty advisor in their selected major. The faculty advisor is there to assist the student with both academic and professional advising. As the student’s faculty advisor, it is essential that you have the most up to date and accurate information. This tutorial will highlight the most essential portions of the degree requirements and academic information within the Jones College. The Jones College offers two types of degrees: B.B.A. (Bachelor of Business Administration) and the B.S. (Bachelor of Science). We offer 15 degree programs within five Academic Departments, Accounting; Business Education, Marketing Education and Office Management; Computer Information Systems; Economics and Finance and Management and Marketing. We have 3800 students with a major in the College and utilize over 120 faculty members to instruct our courses. This tutorial will address Academic standards, Upper Division, Substitutions, Validation, Exit Exams, CLEP, and Second Bachelor’s Degree requirements. RESIDENCY HOURS AND ACADEMIC STANDARDS
