University Withdrawal

A student interested in dropping their course load for the semester to 0 hours should officially withdraw from the university. Do not encourage your students to drop all classes one by one if they are planning on dropping them all.

How does a student officially withdraw from the university?

  • Log in to PipelineMT/WebMT – click on “Registration” – click on “Drop/Add classes” – Go to the bottom of the screen and click on “Withdraw from all of your classes”
  • In person at the University Withdrawal Office in Cope 205D, phone number 898-2808

What does it mean for a student to withdraw?
Completely separating from the university after already selecting courses for the term.

The grade for a student who officially withdraws from the University will be determined by the student’s academic performance prior to withdrawal. Withdrawal early in a term may result in no grades being assigned to the student if the withdrawal occurred before the drop deadlines determined for that specific term.

A student may not officially withdraw from the University after a date in the semester or term which is one week or less prior to the beginning of final examinations, except for reasons of mitigation or extenuation as shall be determined by the University Withdrawal Office.

Any student who leaves the University without officially withdrawing will receive a grade of F for all work attempted.

For any questions regarding complete University withdrawals including military withdrawals please contact the University Withdrawal Office at 898-2808 or Cope 205D.
