Rick Mraz
Adjunct Professor, saxophone
Rick Mraz is a saxophonist, flutist, educator and freelance musician living and working
in Tennessee. He is currently on faculty at MTSU as adjunct instructor of saxophone
and teaches privately throughout the middle Tennessee area. He holds degrees in Flute
Performance and Music Education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst (BA)
and in Jazz Studies from Middle Tennessee State University (MA) where he was a Graduate
Teaching Assistant to Don Aliquo. Mraz has performed around the world as a ship musician
working for Azamara and Holland America Cruise Lines and locally with the Nashville
Jazz Orchestra and Duffy Jackson Big Band.
