Nashville Opera Fellows Program
The
Nashville
Opera Association and MTSU have partnered to offer graduate
students at MTSU in the Voice Performance area the opportunity to
participate in a program called the
Nashville Opera Fellows Program. This program
provides graduate students who successfully audition for the opera
company the chance to be affiliated contractually with Nashville
Opera for up to two years. Graduate students who are selected are
given the opportunity to perform in mainstage productions in the
chorus, should they choose to do so. They perform with the
Educational Outreach Program under the direction of Nashville
Opera's Educational Outreach Director, Kelly Claus. Fellows are
also asked to understudy participants in Nashville Opera's Young
Artists Program and be available to perform during this two month
touring program should they be needed. Additionally, Fellows are
invited to take part in all masterclasses with guest artists and
conductors. All of the above activities are financially compensated
by the Nashville Opera Association. For more information on this
program and the graduate voice performance degree at MTSU, contact
