Welcome

The Office of New Student and Family Programs provides a variety of services to MTSU students relating to student involvement.

Students and faculty are invited to attend MTSU Connection Point Events which are held in the fall and spring and are always free of charge. Activities include We-Haul, University Convocation, the President's Picnic, Meet Murfreesboro, Volunteer Fair, music, fun and lots of free food.

Family Weekend gives you a wonderful excuse to visit your MTSU student and learn more about the campus that's replaced the familiar high school and hometown setting. Enjoy the many scheduled events, as well as having some together-time.

CUSTOMS, the MTSU new student orientation helps new undergraduate students make the transition into the university; prepares new students for MTSU's educational opportunities; and inititates the integration of new students into the intellectual, cultural, and social climate of the institution.

The Parents Association at MTSU is an organization that provides opportunities for parents to become involved in their students' education. The Parents Association is also a vehicle for parents to ask questions and make suggestions, and it is a support system that facilitates the transition that accompanies sending students off to college.
