Recreation - Handbook


Campus Recreation , a unit in the Division of Student Affairs, provides a comprehensive recreation program for the students, faculty, and staff of the University. Activities range from competitive team sports to informal free play, from fitness to outdoor recreation.

An equipment checkout service, located at the front desk of the Recreation Center, makes available a variety of equipment for students to use. Students may check out equipment by presenting a valid student ID card. There is a small rental fee for outdoor recreation equipment.

Available equipment includes basketballs, badminton racquets and nets, footballs and flags, Frisbees, golf clubs, racquetball racquets, eye guards and balls, soccer balls, softball bats, balls and bases, tennis racquets and balls, volleyballs, poles and nets, horseshoe sets, and weight belts.

Outdoor recreation equipment includes two-person and five-person tents, backpacks, sleeping bags and pads, climbing shoes, canoes, kayaks, canoe trailers, caving lights and helmets, stoves, coolers, and cook kits.
