Blakeley Solomon
Murfreesboro, TN

Hi, my name is Blakeley Solomon and I'm one! I'm one of Tennessee's best and I want you to be one, too.

I am really excited about being a Blue Raider and carrying on my family tradition. This fall, I will be the fourth generation of my family to attend Middle Tennessee State University. My great-grandmother was the first to graduate from MTSU and I will hopefully not be the last. I'm really excited that I might actually study in a classroom that my great-grandmother studied in years ago - not many people can say that!

One of the main reasons I chose to come to MTSU was because of my family's warm memories of campus - we all consider it to be "home, sweet home."; I'm really proud to be a part of our continued history with Middle Tennessee State. I love Murfreesboro, the campus, and all the opportunities for student involvement. I've been on campus quite a few times for various reasons and I love the Raider Pride feeling that permeates. I'm excited about being a part of Greek life, the Rowdy Raiders, and Student Government Association. I know that it is through involvement in organizations like those that I will be able to meet many new people and make lasting friendships.

I graduated in 2010 from Tullahoma High School and plan to study Business Administration at MTSU. My dad owns two small businesses; I've grown up learning the ins and outs of the business world. I was also in Future Business Leaders of American in high school which helped my love for business grow. I would like to own my own business or become an executive or consultant of some sort after I graduate. I know what I learn in my classes will help me to be successful in life.

I really believe that MTSU offers endless educational opportunities for everyone. Students can study just about anything in which they have an interest. There are classes on everything from anthropology to physics, from aerospace to music. We may not be the largest university in the southeast, but we certainly are not lacking by any means. Quality is much better than quantity and MTSU certainly provides a quality education.

But don't just take my word for it - or my family's. We all chose to be one of Tennessee's best and you can, too. Come be one of Tennessee's best at Middle Tennessee State University.
