Department of Health and Human Performance
At the undergraduate level, students may obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical
Education Teacher Education with a K-12 Teaching License. Post-baccalaureate students
who wish to obtain a K-12 physical education teaching license are also welcome. A
non-teaching option is available for students who wish to pursue careers related to
physical education other than teaching.
At the graduate level, students may obtain a Master of Science degree in Health and
Human Performance (HHP) with a concentration in Kinesiology. This program is designed
to enhance the pedagogical skills and knowledge of students who already hold a bachelor's
degree in physical education. Students who hold a bachelor's degree in another field
may pursue an M.S. in HHP with a concentration in Kinesiology after completing required
prerequisite courses. It is also possible to combine the M.S. program with the post-baccalaureate
K-12 licensure program. See the Physical Education Graduate Program Manager for details.
