Ron Bombardi
Professor and Chair
Ron Bombardi earned his Ph.D. in philosophy from
Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1984.
With his dissertation on the
empirical foundations of clinical psychology, he initiated a series
of interdisciplinary studies in the philosophy of modern science
that still characterizes the tenor of his contemporary work.
Capitalizing on extensive
scholarship in the history and philosophy of Western science and
mathematics, Bombardi has advanced curriculum development in the
discipline while teaching at MTSU with the creation of
state-of-the-art courses in philosophical psychology and the
philosophy of music.
Bombardi is an active
web-designer who routinely utilizes Internet resources in his
teaching and scholarship; his hypertext edition of Spinoza's Ethics
has received international acclaim.
His current projects are focused
on topics in neurophilosophy.
