The department will welcome Dr. Theodore Hodapp in mid-January 2008 for a program review (for the period 2001 - 2006). Dr. Hodapp is on leave at the NSF from Hamline University . This review is in partial fulfillment of the Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) mandate of program reviews for disciplines or programs for which accrediting bodies do not exist.As preparation for his visit, we have reviewed and assessed the central components of the current physics & astronomy program. We have studied notable department accomplishments during the review period as well as actions in light of recommendations from the prior review, and have laid out our directions for the next 5-10 years.
