Study Abroad

International Relations and Political Science majors are strongly encouraged to participate in a study abroad program sometimes during their program. This is even more vital for International Relations Majors.

STUDY ABROAD is more than simply taking classes outside the U.S. It now includes internships abroad, public service work abroad, field research or classes. STUDY ABROAD helps students develop an understanding of other cultures and international issues through hands-on experience that simply cannot be acquired in the classroom. The experience usually helps students understand their own country and themselves in a much deeper and more meaningful way than before. And, study abroad often creates contacts and helps students network.
