My name is Mary Bowens, and I am the teacher in the Red Room. I
have been at Project Help for almost 2 years. I have a degree in
Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education. I
have over 15 years of experience in touching the lives of children
from newborn to ten year olds.
I spent over 7 years in early childhood education as an aide,
teacher, infant room supervisor, and trainer. After college, my
focus became Elementary Education, where I spent over 6 years
instructing and mentoring kindergarten thru fourth grade students.
I left the classroom and pursued a career in education publishing,
where I assisted with the creation of curriculum and trained
teachers to use the materials. Currently, I am working on my
prerequisite classes to pursue my Master's in Speech
I moved to the Murfreesboro area 3 years ago from Colorado. It has
been an overwhelming experience moving to the South. God has
blessed me with 2 children who are 5 and 3, and a wonderful dog
named Cloe. They are all the love of my life. Whenever I am not
working with my blessings at Project Help I love to cross stitch,
shop, participate in activities at my church, and travel.
