There's a new Facebook web address: Facebook.com/ProjectHelp. We have enough friends to get a more official site! Please check us out.
It continues to be football time in Tennessee. The Toddlers for Touchdowns! momentum is having a winning impact so far with the Blue Raiders.
On October 24th the Toddlers for Touchdowns will be strolling in the homecoming parade; we will be a non-float entry. It's our hope that lots of our families will be able to participate in this fun opportunity. What we know from the SGA web site:
- Non-float entries may be walked or driven down the parade route on a trailer, truck, car, or on foot. (we will be on foot an in strollers)
- Non-float entries may include banners, step shows, or simply an organization walking down the parade route with like shirts or any other creative expression. The 2009 Homecoming committee must approve every non-float entry (I've submitted the paper work)
- All parade entries must be at the intersection of Maney Avenue and Robertson Street no later than 8:00 AM. Any entry not in its correct location checked-in with the Parade Director by 8:00 AM will receive a five-point deduction for each minute late. Please send only one representative from each group. All participants, that is those riding a following trailer or truck, must be in the correct location by 9:00 AM. (Not for sure about all of this right now, but we'll know by the end of the week...)
We are asking that families bring strollers, if it's convenient. And, of course, we'll want to be dressed in Blue Raider blue: shirts or outfits. More information will be sent home, posted on the web site, and placed on the Facebook page.
We are updating our original Toddlers for Touchdowns DVD and request that MTSU shirts or outfits be sent to Project Help so that we can cheer for the video camera on several days. We promise to send the clothing home as soon as we get the footage we need!
Trick or Treating with Project Help will be on October 29th. There will be a morning and an afternoon excursion. More information will be available closer to that date.
With so much activity in October, with the Cripple Creek field trip postponed / delayed, and with last year's less than satisfactory experience, we will NOT be going to a Pumpkin Patch this year. We will have pumpkin decorating and small events in each classroom. We think this will be fun and instructional.
Holiday Schedule: We want to provide a schedule information in a timely fashion. For both Baird Lane and the Yellow Room:
November 25th morning only -Project Help will close at 11:00 26th-27th - closed for Thanksgiving
December 23rd - January 1st -Closed
January 4th - 8th -teacher in-service, No classes
As always; if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me and thanks for your ongoing support!
Susan
