Green Room

child playing in green roomMs. Becky and have I several years of experience working with children and families. We strive to build a solid foundation through healthy play and an age-appropriate curriculum. We seek every opportunity to increase self esteem and character.

Consistency is the glue that holds our classroom together. Structure helps our children learn what to expect. Patience and flexibility allow us to meet the needs of all the children. Movement is crucial for learning new skills, building strong bodies, and increasing communication.

Our children are taught appropriate play skills, encouraged to follow directions, and express their needs and wants through verbal communication, simple sign language, or pictures.

Our monthly themes include learning our ABC's, beginning sounds, and counting. During circle time, children enjoy songs and finger-plays. They are encouraged to imitate gestures independently or with assistance.

Other activities include: stacking, finger-painting, playing with messy textures, drinking from an open cup, using feeding utensils and so much more!

Learning new skills through repetition in order to become independent is the Green Room way.
