Welcome to the Yellow Room. Our friends range from ages 15 months to 3 years. It's
a unique concept as our older learners are peer models and serve as great learning
tools for our younger learners. We make sure that our curriculum is challenging, yet
age appropriate for all of our young learners.
Another distinctive concept is that we are a half day program; four days a week with
a choice of either two or four days a week. This gives our babies, especially the
younger ones who have not been introduced to a classroom setting the opportunity to
do so in a short period of time (2½ hours) per day.
In the Yellow Room we work on helping our children transition into Project Help and
transition out by the time they are three for other education opportunities. Our curriculum
and schedule includes early learning skills such as: ABCs, colors, shapes, numbers,
songs, circle time, days of the week, etc.
We have learning centers where we learn to play and interact with our peers. We use
thematic units in our classroom to help learn new concepts. These sessions include
singing, dancing, cooking, painting, water and outside play (when weather permits)
and sensory. They love it!
