Charge
Through advising, this committee will promote the university’s goal for a student-centered learning culture which values the whole individual. The committee will emphasize the joint responsibility needed to cultivate the community of scholars on our campus and promote the academic major and life-career planning goal of the University stated in the Academic Master Plan. The committee will serve to focus the campus mission, goals, and outcomes for academic advising.

The establishment of this committee was recommended in 2005 by the NACADA Consultant Bureau report. The committee will provide a process to work on other issues established in the NACADA report.
