The deadline for students to apply for an Undergraduate Research Experiences and Creative Activity Award (URECA) grant is October 4, 2011 at 4:00 pm. This program provides financial support to encourage MTSU students to get involved in research and creative projects at the assistant or scholar levels during their undergraduate careers. Those students planning to begin research or creative projects in the spring and summer of 2012 should apply this fall. To increase chances of funding, students need to following the guidelines carefully (use the checklist to make sure that the applications is complete). Dr. Joe Navarro will be this fall's Milliam M. Bass Legends in Forensic Science Lectureship guest speaker. He is considered to be the "non-verbal expert" in his field.
