*In order to take the Comprehensive Exam you have to be a 'graduate' student attending our college and approved by the professor and/or degree coordinator.*

I/O students taking PHR check below:
I/O students may choose to substitute the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) exam of the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) for the I/O comprehensive exam (comps) given by the psychology department.

Students who pass the PHR will NOT be required to take the comprehensive exam in I/O. The PHR exam is currently offered twice a year May/June & December/January.

It is the student’s responsibility to submit to the I/O graduate program coordinator official documentation that he/she has passed the PHR exam. PHR exam must be passed within six (6) years of the date the student first enrolled in the I/O program. A failed attempt at the PHR does not count as a failed attempt at comps. A second failure of comps terminates eligibility for PHR substitution.
