SAVOIE NAMED TO C-USA ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
SENIOR RANKS 2ND IN C-USA WITH 71.5 STROKE AVERAGE

IRVING, Texas- Conference USA's commitment to excellence, both on the course and in the classroom,
as the league announced the five-man 2017 InTouch Credit Union Conference USA Men's
Golf All-Academic Team. Highlighting the squad is Middle Tennessee's Joey Savoie.
Savoie, a senior, leads the Blue Raiders with 20 rounds of par or better and has seven rounds
in the 60s. He owns three top-10 finishes and his low round of 66 is the second-best
this season for a Blue Raider and tied for the eighth best in school history.
Savoie, who leads the team and ranks second in C-USA with a 71.5 stroke average, shot
a 205 54-hole total en route to finishing in a tie for third at the Mason Rudolph
which equaled the fourth best in MT golf history and earned him C-USA Golfer of the
Week honors. The Quebec, Canada, native has a 3.60 GPA in accounting and was named
to the Dean's List in the fall.
