 - Middle Tennessee men's golfer Brett Patterson has been selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America for the 2015 Capital One Academic All-America Men's At-Large Second Team as announced on Thursday. The squads recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.
 
Patterson, who was earlier voted Capital One Academic All-District, is a two-time C-USA Men's Golf All-Academic Team member. He was a First-Team All-Conference USA selection in 2014 and concluded his career with a 73.8 career stroke average. During the 2014-15 campaign, Patterson competed in 11 events for the Blue Raiders with a season-best round of 71 at the Mobile Sports Authority Invitational and posted an eighth-place finish at the C-USA Men's Golf Championship.
 
A native of McMinnville, Tennessee, Patterson boasted a flawless 4.0 GPA in business administration. Additionally, Patterson was tabbed the 2013-14 C-USA Men's Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
